Need: Travel to Rwanda

My family and I (myself, husband and 10 year old daughter) will hopefully be traveling to Kigali, Rwanda within the next 4 mths to complete the adoption of our child. We are hoping to find a homestay or similar situation within Kigali. We would much prefer to spend our accomodation budget on a local family or small business than a corporate hotel business. And what better way to learn more about Rwanda culture and make new friends.

Nairobi

Hello mama Africa,

Thank you for your message! It might be that I may need to stay in Nairobi! I may have to stay in Rwanda or Kenya for several months while awaiting the Canadian High Commission to process our paperwork, and because they can not give us a definite timeline I am not certain whether it is best for me to stay in Rwanda or Kenya. Please let me know what the possibility of a longer term stay might be (3-4mths) and cost for lodgings.

Thank you

Kifah

Hey

Hi Kifah,

Wow, that is so wonderful that you are adopting from Rwanda. I can ask my friends in Rwanda to see if any family can offer lodging to you and your husband. Will contact you soon!
