The Centre for Development, Environment and Policy (CeDEP) undertakes research and postgraduate teaching in the fields of applied economics, environment and biodiversity, and sustainability and development.
CeDEP is part of the School of Oriental and African Studies, one of the University of London’s lead colleges, which has an international reputation for its innovative and interdisciplinary approach to international studies.
CeDEP offers postgraduate Distance Learning programmes as part of the University of London’s International Programme. The global community of University of London International Programme students, of which CeDEP is proud to be a part, is a unique network of 41,000 students in 180 countries.
The programmes have been running for 20 years. Initially they drew upon the expertise of Wye College and later Imperial College. Now a part of SOAS, it continues to build experience and expertise to maintain and develop new and innovative programmes. The subject range is unique and CeDEP have a strong reputation for research and innovation in the use of technology to support Distance Learning.
