It has always been my passion to be a journalist. Due to several circumstances I buried my dream. But thanks to world pulse, my dream of journalism was reborn and I now hold a certificate in citizen journalism. I am using the certificate in different ways including writing for powerful media organization global press institute. I need to advance my studies and am in need of a scholarship at any college which will help me obtain a diploma or degree.

I will be very grateful for any assistance.

Scholarships available for young African journalists

Young African journalists can apply for scholarships to study in Johannesburg, South Africa, and work for Reuters News. The deadline is October 1.

The Fitzgerald Prize gives journalists the opportunity to do a post graduate honors degree at the University of the Witwatersrand. They will then join Reuters News for six months of work experience.

Candidates must have an undergraduate degree or three years of professional experience, and be fluent in English. African journalists under 30 are eligible to apply.
