Offer: Women's Empowerment Organization in rural Kenya
I lived for five months in Kenya. I spent one month on Rusinga Island in a rural village on the humongous Lake Victoria.I traveled as a tourist and rented a room in a small town in the Rift Valley. I even lived for some weeks out in the bush near Mount Kilimanjaro with a Maasai family. I want to help the Maasai community as well as others achieve a larger degree of empowerment through skills-building and personal enterprise. One organization is currently working to provide shelter for Maasai girls escaping early arranged marriages and the horrifying female circumcision as well as offer the chance for an education. Simple things such as female menstrual hygiene will be taught and products distributed. The money from the jewelry or fabric sales goes directly to the organization of Ewaso Ng'iro village known as Nadumu Ntonmonok or women's empowerment in the Maa language. Your help is greatly appreciated and makes a difference in the lives of others. We can do custom orders. Please inquire for more details.
