Need: Afghan Women Writing Project Seeking Interns

The Afghan Women's Writing Project is currently seeking interns to assist with ongoing projects. In particular, AWWP is in need of a volunteer/intern who has experience designing programs for virtual classrooms.

AWWP is essentially a virtual organization. Thus, anyone basically anywhere could apply to intern for AWWP. The right candidate must be a self-starter who is organized, efficient, self-directed, disciplined and an excellent communicator. However, if the applicant is in the home city of one of the key personnel (NY, NY; Cambridge, MA; Davenport, IA; Burlington, VT) face to face coordination is possible.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is passionate about women's rights, the future of Afghanistan and enjoys creative thinking.

Those with degrees (or seeking degrees) in journalism, international relations, public relations, sociology, international law, history and gender studies are encouraged to apply. But all applicants will be equally considered. The ability to speak Pashtu and/or Dari
is a plus but not required.
