Dear friends....Kindly send information regarding organization working on spinal cord injury in America and Canada, I met a six year old boy who is suffering from a sickness known as Spinal Difida from birth. The mother is depressed but she vows to care for the child as long as there is scientific solution available for him to live a normal life which is most of the time unavailable in the developing worlds.

Please respond as soon as possible if anyone knows some association or organization that can treat such children.
Thanks All.....

Spina Bifida organizations

There are many organizations working in the field of Spina Bifida, the main one in the US being the Spina Bifida Association of which there are many state chapters. They can be found at the below link and have lots of information about the condition, how one lives with it and FAQs.

The main Canadian organization provides similar information and can be found at:

As no two cases are the same, I encourage you and the mother to read through the site and reach out to these organizations should you have more questions. I worked with some children who had spina bifida through my Special Olympics work and they were able to lead full lives through the use of crutches, wheelchairs or braces. Most do well in school, and many play in sports.

I hope this helps. Keep me posted and sending you my love,

Janice Love,
Thanks so much for this beautiful information. I assured the woman that all is well and she should be patient for responses from exceptional women who are concerned about issues of other women. Thanks so God, you did not disappoint us.
May God Bless you Janice and Bless Worldpulse...
Please, do not be angry because I will work with you as regards this case...You cannot imagine a woman who is solely responsible for a six year old child that can neither walk nor play.
Friend, Thanks so very much.
