VENT!
Pooza,
Namaskar. I would like to introduce you to Yuko who founded an online magazine VENT! (Voices, Expressions, 'n Tales) an independent web magazine based in Kathmandu, Nepal by and for a new generation of progressive thinkers. They train and mentor citizen reporters, emerging journalists and bloggers, and acts as a platform for youth activists, citizens and artists to voice out and express their craft. They promote alternative, grassroots journalism—reporting things they see in their own backyards, bringing a fresh perspective of various issues often overlooked by the mainstream media and speaking out for those who cannot. They believe in the power of information and expression to bring people together and inspire change.
They are looking for citizen reporters, writers, bloggers, poets, and visual artists who would like to get published. Contact them and you can connect with Yuko at http://www.worldpulse.com/user/2309. Khushbu also contributes to VENT! and may be able to provide you with more information. Khushbu can be found at http://www.worldpulse.com/user/1450.
You might also like to look into www.shetizenjournalist.com, a new tool to help break down gender stereotypes and aid women's empowerment.
Let me know how it goes. Hardik subhakamana,
Janice
