Need: Need of Sponsorship to Participate in a fair in Denmark
Janakpur Women's Development Center is established as non-profit organization in Nepal in the year 1989. It is located in the southern part of the country boarder with India. The mission of the organization is "women empowerment through tradition". The organization utilizes women's inherent skill of tradition art to make them a living and currently there are 39 women artists working at the center. The 39 women are the only members of the organization and in every two years they elect an executive board.
On our innovative idea practiced for 20 years and admired by many organizations and individuals in Nepal, we now would like to participate in a fair, dedicated for the women's entrepreneurship taking place in Denmark during the second week of December. We have been selected to participate in the event BUT we do not have resources for covering the expenses of travel, food and accommodation in Denmark.
Through this posting, we cordially request to the supporters for funding that will enable us to present our work and model in such a forum (United Nations Framework Convention for Climate Change (UNFCCC) COP 15). This will not only make our presence in the event but is equally aimed at earning a dignified amount through sales that enables us to keep the center live for long.
Thanking you,
Janakpur Women's Development Center,
