Hi all

On behalf of the Latin American Network of People Living with HIV/AIDS (REDLA) I am part of a steering committee that is supporting the Ecumenical Advocacy Alliance on a project they have for a consultation on Theology and HIV prevention at the end of February.

I tried to put names of persons living with HIV with christian background among the list of invitees, but I am not sure how many of them will get there, apparently because this meeting has a reduced number of attendees and mostly theologians surely very old and not living with HIV themselves.

So I wanted to ask your concerns on this issue:

HIV prevention and the church/theology according to the perspective of
People Living with HIV and AIDS.

I will take these issues with passion there. If you have any documents on the issue I can surely take them. Also if there is any concern related to regional groups, I can talk about them.

Please understand that UNAIDS is planning to support muslim groups and
other faith groups in the future for similar consultations, so this one
is only for christian theologians.

En nombre de Red Latinoamerica de Personas viviendo con VIH/SIDA (REDLA)soy parte de un comité organizador que ayuda a la
Alianza Ecuménica de Abogacía en un proyecto que ellos tienen para una
consulta sobre Teología y prevención del VIH a finales de Febrero.

Traté de poner nombres de personas viviendo con VIH con un contexto cristiano entre la lista de invitados, pero no estoy segura cuántos logran ser invitados, aparentemente porque esta es una reunión con un número limitado de participantes y mayormente teólogos seguramente muy viejos y no viviendo con VIH ellos mismos.

Por eso quería preguntarles sus preocupaciones sobre este tema:

Prevención del VIH y la iglesia/teología de acuerdo a la perspectiva de
las Personas Viviendo con VIH/SIDA.

Tomaré estos temas con pasión allí. Si tienen algunos documentos relativos al temam con seguridad puedo presentarlos. También si hay alguna particularidad de los grupos regionales, puedo hablar de ellos.

Por favor noten que ONUSIDA está planenando apoyar a grupos musulmanes y de otras creencias para consultas similares, así que esta es solamente para teólogos cristianos.
