Training and Technical Assistance Cooperative Agreements Targeting Part D Ryan White HIV/AIDS

Sponsor Health Resources and Services Administration
Deadlines February 29, 2008

The goal of this Cooperative Agreement is to assist in providing training and technical assistance to Ryan White program Part D grantees and other programs with an interest in improving access to primary medical care, research and support services for HIV-infected women, infants, children, youth and their affected families. Applicants will assist the grantees in understanding and putting into action the requirements of the Ryan White program and research based best practices for high quality, comprehensive HIV primary care and support service delivery to people living with HIV/AIDS. The Cooperative Agreement will transfer knowledge and provide practical help to a diverse group of organizations and individuals, including Ryan White program grantees and their subcontractors, other AIDS service organizations, community based organizations, faith based organizations, and consumers. Cooperative Agreement recipients will build upon lessons learned from other training, technical assistance, and capacity building efforts sponsored by the HIV/AIDS Bureau, and work to address the needs not fulfilled by existing efforts.

National, regional, and local public and private non-profit organizations involved in addressing HIV/AIDS related issues of a national scope are eligible to apply. Applicants must have a minimum 3-year history of developing and disseminating informational materials, providing training or technical assistance to HIV/AIDS related organizations and Ryan White HIV/AIDS Program Part D constituencies on a national level. The scope of work for these Cooperative Agreements must also be proposed on a national level. Applicants should demonstrate knowledge of the Part D programs and their need for technical assistance. Community-based and faith-based organizations are eligible to apply for these cooperative agreement awards.
