Around the world, local women are helping one another tackle the problems that darken their lives — illiteracy, domestic violence, poverty, sex trafficking, war, inequality, malnutrition, and disease. Paola Gianturco traveled the world meeting and photographing these remarkable women. She has teamed with Global Women's Leadership Network to bring you "Women Who Light the Dark," an exquisite expression of the many ways women are improving the world.
