Offer: Nobel Women's Initiative is Hiring: Africa Advocacy Coordinator
The Nobel Women's Initiative is seeking an Africa Advocacy Coordinator. The Africa Advocacy Coordinator leads the Nobel Women’s Initiative’s advocacy and strategic communication initiatives in Africa. The Coordinator is focused primarily on women’s rights and armed violence in Sudan and Darfur, but also provides analysis and support for other Nobel Women’s Initiative issue areas, including violence and repression in Burma and Iran, climate justice and nuclear disarmament.
Reporting to the Executive Director of Nobel Women’s Initiative and Dr. Wangari Maathai (through the Green Belt Movement management team), the candidate works in co-ordination with Nobel Women’s Initiative’s Manager for Policy and Advocacy, and the Manager for Media and Communications. She/he plays a key role in advancing Nobel Women’s Initiative’s core advocacy and policy agendas in Africa.
This position is a one-year contract, and will be based in Nairobi.
