Need: sponsor my run and save a life

brian.gif

Jane Wanjiru, a single jobless mother of two is pleading for help. Her 13 months old baby Brian, has been diagnosed with a Rheumatic Heart Disease which requires urgent heart surgery so as to save his life.
The Heart to Heart Foundation has agreed to have Brian as one of the candidates for this year’s heart camp in August 2009. Unfortunately he dint qualify for this year’s fund beneficiaries due to late application. Next year will be too late for dear Brian’s life. The cost of the treatment is approximately $7150.
For this reason I will participate in LEWA Safaricom marathon (42kms) on 28TH June 2009 with target of raising $3000 towards the fund. I request for your heartfelt support to save Baby Brian’s precious life. Together and in God we will.
SPONSORSHIP
Save Brian’s life by sponsoring
I. half a km for $ 32 or a kilometer for $ 65

Kindly address your cheque directly to BRIAN KIMATHI WANJIRU MEDICAL FUND

yours comrade,
Shiku Steve

A few questions

Shiku,

What a reason to run! Brian is beautiful and deserves a healthy heart. I would be honored to support you in some way!

A couple questions... is Heart to Heart also known as the Kenyan Heart National Foundation? (http://www.kenyanheart.or.ke/KHNF_homepageN.html) I think potential supporters will want more information about Heart to Heart and the fund you mention above. Can you share more details?

Love,
Jennifer

Kenyan heart foundation

Jennifer dear
I really do appreciate your heart for baby Brian.Togetherness is beter than oneness you know.As I told you Heart to heart foundation and Kenyan heart foundation are different. The Kenyan heart foundation as I have found out is an NGO which do free heart treatment and give free seminars on prevention of rheumatic heart disease.Unfortunatly they have put heart treatment on hold due to lack of funds..
