'Voices of Women' to mark the International Women's Day

To mark the International Women's day, Women Empowerment Nepal (WEN) is organizing an event "Voices of Women" on March 8, 2014 Saturday at Basantapur, Kathmandu, Nepal. WEN is a non-profit organization that works for woman and child rights, social justice and gender equality.Self- defense program, legal literacy campaign, Increasing digital access to women (as inspired by world pulse), Improving livelihood of urban poor are some of the major activities of WEN.

The major attraction of the event will be concert of women voices only, featuring well known female singers of Nepal; cultural dances; live art exhibition by female artists on women achievement, photo exhibition etc. The event will showcase the achievements of women in Nepal that will be displayed through the stalls of women organizations and women entrepreneurs. Food stalls consisting of local and other taste will be other assets of the event.

The Voices of Women 2070 will be unique opportunity to showcase the strengths of Nepali women and inspire more women to explore their caliber and express them. Moreover, the whole proceedings of the event will be utilized for the establishment of 'Education and Empowerment Fund', the fund for children education and women empowerment.

We would like to organize this event in grand manner.
