It is with great pleasure that the Ikra Educational Training Centre (IETC) Tanzania invited you to participate in the Ikra Public Forum to mark the International Women’s Day 2013/African Women’s Decade 2010 – 2020, The World Water Day, 2013/ International Year for Water Cooperation 2013 and the Earth Day Celebration 2013.
Theme: African Women at the forefront of Sustainability: Water-Food-Energy Nexus
Date: Monday, 25th March 2013
Venue: Dar es Salaam, Tanzania
The objective of the forum is to introduce the concept of environmental entrepreneurship, touching issues of renewable energy, organic gardening, agribusiness, ecological building systems and climate friendly technologies to supports women’s sustainable development and active agents of change in building resilient communities. The question of how the holistic approach to environmental entrepreneurship can enrich agricultural production, sustainable community development and natural resource management would be addressed. The forum will present an analysis of data collected from projects across Tanzania, information that forms the basis for decision in the Tanzanian Water, Food and Energy Sector.
During the forum participants will evaluate the progress made and actions to be taken in relation to the promotion of environmental entrepreneurship in Tanzania and the role women and youths can play.
