Gender and Social Protection in the Developing World: Beyond Mothers and Safety Nets - 12:30 GMT
3 March 2013 12:30-14:00 at Overseas Development Institute and screened live online
This event will launch Gender and social protection in the developing world: beyond mothers and safety nets, a new book by ODI researchers Nicola Jones and Rebecca Holmes. This research explores progress made in the social protection sector in incorporating issues of voice and agency, and also highlights the significant challenges that remain in moving the social protection poverty agenda beyond a focus on income and “traditional” gender equality goals.
