The March was a success!

Dear Sheila,

Thanks for your support sister and I am glad to tell you that the Anti-Trafficking march yesterday was a success. Though the number was 1000+ and it could have been more, but I say it was a success because the people who took the march were people who cared for the women and children who are being made sexual slaves! 100 organizations supported the event but most of all the representation was meaningful. There were students studying Management, an altogether different line from development sector, who were there to represent the cosmopolitan, educated, upper middle class of the city which cares for the victimized!

Bangalore saw one of the first events on trafficking but I am certain, this new beginning will lead to several good intiatives.

Keep in touch dear :)

Love and regards,
Urmila Chanam
