Dignity and Human Rights:The Missing Dialogue
PWESCR, in partnership with the Permanent Mission of Portugal in Geneva, UN Special Rapporteur on extreme poverty and human rights, Amnesty International, WUNRN and Worldwide Organization for Women, invites you to a side event on Dignity and Human Rights: the Missing Dialogue, during the UN Human Rights Council, Session 20 on June 20th from 13:45 to 14:45 PM in Geneva.
The side event will focus on how the concept of dignity can provide a more holistic approach grounded in people’s realities and explore the potential limitation of the current human rights framework. It will advocate the Human Rights Council to commit to advance human rights with dignity and to ensure the concept of dignity is incorporated in all its work, in particular the resolutions on economic, social and cultural rights.
