A Powerful Noise Live!
If you are looking to help empower women and girls around the world, meet like-minded people and stoke your children’s interest in giving back, we’ve got the perfect night out for you. In honor of International Women’s Day, CARE and NCM Fathom present A POWERFUL NOISE Live on Thursday, March 5th in more than 450 theatres nationwide.
“A Powerful Noise” takes viewers into the lives of three women, making you cry with a young widow in Vietnam, hope with a mother in Bosnia and cheer with a matriarch in Mali. But when the credits start rolling, you’ll be transported into something else: a movement. On that night only, more than 450 theatres across the country will turn into community forums. After the credits roll, you don’t want to miss the live panel discussion with top experts and celebrities including Christy Turlington Burns - model, filmmaker and CARE’s advocate for maternal health, New York Times columnist Nicholas Kristof, CARE President Dr. Helene Gayle and others to be announced. The panel discussion will be broadcast live via satellite from New York City to your local big screen.
“A POWERFUL NOISE Live is more than a night out at the movies, it’s a movement coming of age,” says Dr. Helene Gayle, president and CEO of the global poverty-fighting organization CARE. “You’ll be entertained but more importantly, when the lights go on, you’ll be energized with a better understanding of what you can do to empower women and girls around the world.”
A POWERFUL NOISE Live is in select theatres nationwide for only one night Thursday, March 5 at 8 p.m. ET / 7 p.m. CT / 6 p.m. MT / 8:00 p.m. PT (tape delayed). Tickets are on sale now.
