IWD online Film Screening: Pray The Devil Back To Hell
For more than 100 years, the world has celebrated International Women's Day on March 8. This special day recognizes advances made by women and girls all over the world. This day also reminds us to address the face of poverty by advocating on behalf of women and girls living on less than $2 a day.
This year, you can take part in CARE's celebration of International Women's Day from the comfort of your own living room by joining CARE for an online screening of Pray the Devil Back to Hell, in partnership with ITVS.
After the film, stay online and participate in a panel discussion with the film's executive producer, Abigail Disney, and other experts on women's empowerment around the world.
You can see more details and watch the film here.
Pray the Devil Back to Hell is an astonishing story of the Liberian women who took on the warlords and regime of dictator Charles Taylor in the midst of a brutal civil war, and won a once unimaginable peace for their shattered country in 2003.

Thank you Scott, So excited
Thank you Scott,
So excited to hear about this movie again.I watched it in South Africa during my training on film making and was so touched by it.I keep telling people about it when I want to elucidate the fact that women as a joint force can make anything happen. That movie is a must watch for every woman. It can trigger a spirit of revolution and determination in the hearts of women for a better world!A splendid initiative to screen it during this period.
Blessings!
