Invitation to Global Voice Hall - connecting cultures through social media
Events across the globe are setting world history on a new course and much is being driven by the next generation. To capture the enthusiasm of the global youth movement, a new website – www.globalvoicehall.com – is providing a free platform for university students, young professionals and others to share their political passion and engage in constructive dialogue.
Created to facilitate ongoing communication and understanding between the West and Middle East, Global Voice Hall will host regular “town-hall” style live-events. Anyone who signs up for a free account can participate via Twitter, Facebook and our unique live-streaming comment option.
Our first event is November 23 at 6PM Eastern, live from American University in Cairo. Panelists Shadi Hamid, director of research at the Brookings Doha Center; Gameela Ismail, Egyptian activist; and Dalia Ziada, blogger and Egyptian rights activist will discuss the events of Arab spring and what it means for Egypt’s future.
Additional global town-halls include:
Dubai: November 28
Turkey: December 7
Libya: December 14
US: January 4
Please visit www.globalvoicehall.com and be part of this great project. Check out our profile page for more information and feel free to message us if you have any questions!
