To PulseWire Rwanda Members: World Pulse “Rwanda Women's Speak Out”

Event Date:
February 10, 2011 - 09:30 - 11:30

January 18, 2011t
Dear PulseWire – Rwanda community member:

In February, 2011, World Pulse media will host a week-long visit to Rwanda by American feminist leaders in friendship to meet women’s rights leaders, visit innovative projects, and discuss national progress for women in Rwanda.
World Pulse is honored to be working with EOS tours, Half Sky Journeys and our co-host organization, the Women's Equity in Access to Care and Treatment (WE-ACTx) on this exciting program. Our “Heart of East Africa” Rwanda tour takes place Feb. 7- Feb. 12, 2011.

A highlight is a our Feb. 10th morning women's forum -- “Rwanda Women's Speak Out” – co-hosted by WE-ACTx. This special forum brings together Rwandan officials, women parliamentary leaders, gender advocates, and professionals with tour delegates to share news, views, and experiences. A distinguished panel of speakers will discuss recent legal reforms and highlight innovative field programs, followed by a group discussion of Rwanda's achievements.

Attendance for this event is by invitation only, as room space is very limited. World Pulse has reserved several seats for PulseWire Rwanda members to attend this form – on a first-come, first-serve basis for these reserved seats. If you wish to attend, please email the RSVP (below). We will email a confirmation or place your request for aReserved Seat wait list if seating is full and inform you if a seat becomes available.

Date: Thurs. Feb. 10 Time: 9:30 a.m - 11:30 a.m. (Tea & snack served )
Location: Hotel Okapi (conference room)
in Kigali's Central Business Centre - downtown Kigali

This event is being coordinated by World Pulse journalist and WE-ACTx co-founder Anne-christine d’Adesky and Joseph Mafurebo, Director of WE-ACTx’s Health and Justice project in Rwanda.
On behalf of World Pulse and our Heart of East Africa tour, I hope you can join us! We very much look forward to meeting our Rwandan colleagues in February. Murakose cyane!
