Bikopelli: Biking Across the U.S. for Mercy Corps

Event Date:
April 30, 2009 (All day) - December 31, 2009 (All day)

In summer 2009, 23-year-old Dane Randall is biking from Yorktown, Virginia to Astoria, Oregon to raise money for Mercy Corps. Check out his website to see where he's riding today.

The trip has been the culmination of training, planning, and fundraising for over half a year. Dane's web site is packed full of lovely photos of his journey and countless stories of the kindness of strangers. The generosity of the people he's encountered so far on his journey has made a big impression on Dane during his journey. He has recently landed in Colorado, and hopes to end his trip sometime in August.

Dane has raised over $1200 toward his $5000 goal, and his web site will be collecting donations until December 31, 2009.
