ACT NOW ON RAPE/ VIOLENCE ON WOMEN: 3 DEMANDS FOR INDIA'S PM

Dear Friends,

With great sadness, we have to inform you, that the young woman who valiantly fought for her life after the brutal gang rape and assault in New Delhi, passed away in a hospital in Singapore early this morning. She had been air-lifted to the hospital by the government yesterday, though many argue it's not clear why the government did this, and the air lift made her condition worse. As we wait for her body to be returned to India, the government is prepared to prevent any more protests and has imposed curfew on large sections of Delhi.

It is very important for people to understand the brutalization of this young woman and the protests was about more than this one incident. Please take a look at our newspaper log to understand what the reality of women in India is by clicking here: http://links.causes.com/s/clHN3S?r=qRFk We must not allow the brutal suppression of the public protest by the government to stop this movement for change. Please join us in making these 3 immediate demands on the Prime Minister. Here's our petition. You can tweet the PM at @PMOIndia Please raise your voice in support of the women of India.
