World AIDS Day

December 1, globally is the World AIDS Day.
This day is crucial for all of us people living with HIV/AIDS (PLHA) but also for the entire humanity. This day is the symbol of the global fight against the HIV/AIDS disease, not against the persons and it is also a day for the global comunity to express solidarity for the most affected groups of this pandemic.
I urge you to talk to any person about the responsabilities and commitments that need to happen at different level, this World AIDS Days and every day of the year!
* At global level: resources, elimination of travel restriction for PLHA, end of government denialism towards the epidemic
* At national level: sustainable policies and programmes at country level that prevent new HIV infections, and policies that protect and take care of the needs of those already affected and living with HIV
* At individual level: to test yourself, to stay negative and not to discriminate against people living with HIV/AIDS.
This is not a celebration day but a day to reflect deeply on how many needless deaths this pandemic has taken already.
