Ann Jones, a writer, photographer and long-time women's advocate, has teamed up with the International Rescue Committee for an innovative project aimed at giving voice to West African women who have survived conflict, displacement, discrimination and sexual violence.

Readers can sign up to receive 16 email blogs from Jones over 16 days. Each email will include one woman's photo, her story and a chance for readers to add their own voices.

Sixteen Days of Activism Against Gender Violence kicked off on Nov. 25.
