Shiku Steve, Consolata and the rest of the sole sistas,

I know many PulseWire members are wondering how they can use PulseWire to raise money for their projects. I suggest we work together in this group to explore the possibilities.

Who wants to participate?

Jennifer

Hi Jennifer,
Oh.. Nooo... Kindly confirm to Jonah that we are going to work together. By the way, Happy Mothers Day! You have such a wonderful boy. May Almighy bless him till you see his great grand children. Amen.
The idea is really wonderful Sole sistas, lets go for it. We need each an every support( encouragement, financial and even participating on our day to day activities)
With God all is possible. Jennifer, you are our driver. We have entrusted our lives as we board this bus unto you. I pray that the Almighty empower you to enable you drive miles and miles as we explore the possibilities of this noble idea.
The road is bumpy but i know after we reach our destination,we will look at each other eyes and say, Sole Sista, we have done it!!
Can you imagine the hugs and shouts of joy?
Cant wait Jennifer. Lets go for it.
With God on our side, what cant we accompolish?
Love, Sole Sista
Consolata

Consolata,

Jonah says he is very happy we are working together!

It makes me a bit nervous to have such trust placed in me as to be deemed the driver for so many reasons... the biggest one being TIME! I think to be the driver would require a bigger investment of time than I am able to give between Jonah, Shawn, work and running. So let's be drivers together, which was my original intention!!! Besides, I think I am going to struggle to keep up with you and Shiku!

How shall we start? Maybe everyone should list their goals?

We can do this!

Love,
Jennifer

lets run with a dream!

Iam sorry sole sistas.I took off to run utra marathon-a 56km in CapeTown.Guess I got a little bit lazy after my run, especially after I got sick.I got no much pyke for running but I got no choice but to run, sweat and get those nice feelin muscle cramps for the needy.
Jeniffer please give me the link to our group.I wonna invite lots lots of friends. So what are we up to? where do we start? and is every one running?
Why dont you register a race near your region for a purpose.Dont just run-never just run. run for a reason .A noble course.Let all your friends, collegues and family members know your interest.Set a goal every km for $ 30 ,show that you can,and the world will come to support you.
My dream is to have a sole sistas marathon. Our dedication and commitment will set the date this big day.
Lets all run.Run with a dream.
which race are you running and what are you running for?

Love Shiku

Dreaming and running

Welcome back! How are you feeling?

My big race is in October 4th here in Portland. I was going to travel to France, and then it became Alaska, and now it's just Portland. What can I say? Money is tight! :-(

On the other hand, running here will be fun because my friends can cheer me on! And I think it will be easier to raise money for World Pulse and PulseWire. My runs this week are 3, 5 and 9 miles.

So, how do you think we should get started? Should we all set goals and then support each other in achieving them? Give regular updates?

Love,
Jennifer

Hi Jennifer

Ever since I got your message in VOF, I began wondering what it would be like to begin to run. To tell the truth, I am not athletic at all. I don't work out. I don't walk... Do you think I could run? What is the first step towards doing it the right way?

Another issue is that, as long as I don't run, I don't know anyone who does. So I am a bit shy. What should I do?

It took me a long time to decide I actually would send this message, and though I don't know right now if I'll ever get to do it, ... well... maybe I could try.

Love,

Jackie

Join a Hash

Jackie,

I am so glad you sent this message. I love running. I love the way it makes me feel. When I am having a great run, anything is possible. I ran last night and felt like I was flying.

However, running is not for everyone and getting started can be intimidating. And really really hard! :-)

There is an international running group called Has House Harriers. If running is not common in La Paz this group could be a fun way to get started.... and my experience is that there is typically a walker's group, too. The people who join a hash run are expats and locals. Most runs usually end in a social gathering at a bar or restaurant and many people join just for the post-run.

According to the website, La Paz HHH is a family-friendly Hash. All are welcome - men, women, children, animals, runners and walkers.

Let me know if you end up contacting them!

Thanks for answering

Dear Jennifer:

You are right. It is intidimidating somehow. Well, I have never been an athletic woman, never cared, never had the time for it. So I guess I will try to encourage myself some more. I read about some trainers. I'll check them out. Just have to find them first. About La Paz HHH, well, it is a nice idea, but I live 1000 km south from there... so nice intentions, but not possible.

But I will keep an eye on what is posted in sole sistas, so that I can start someday, somehow, without being such a complete idiot about it. So, girls, keep up the good job. Go Sole Sistas, go.

Warmly,

Jackie
