Something Like Hot Chocolate but Better & Healthier
After suffering from severe stomach acidity, I was forced to trade in my morning mug of coffee for the slightly less acidic cup of tea. After 3 years of tea, milk and honey, I am now a true and trusted tea-lover. But although my affection for tea is strong, I must admit that I often find myself with evening cravings for another kind of hot drink. Hot chocolate has never settled well with my stomach, and I'm not such a fan of chamomile or other caffeine-free teas because more often then not they do not mix well with milk- and the creamy deliciousness of milk is what most satisfies me most.
If you too crave something similar to hot chocolate, this recipe is perfect for you. It is healthy,not-too-heavy and absolutely delicious.
1 cup soy (original or vanilla)
1 pinch turmeric powder
1 pinch (or more) cinnamon
1 Rooibos teabag
1 spoonful (or more or less) of honey
Preparation (5-15 min):
Simply place all of the ingredients in a saucepan and turn the stove on low heat. Heat until milk begins to boil, then let it cool down a bit before you drink it happily! (Don't forget to mix it every so often)

Rooibos has long been enjoyed by the local indigenous people of South Africa. Rooibos has a high level of polyphenolic antioxidants, and it is totally caffeine-free. It also has a low level of tannins, which can help those with digestive problems. Its antispasmodic properties treat colic, stomach cramps, intestinal spasms and other digestive upsets. It has also been used to treat respiratory disorders, and prevent cardiovascular disease, diabetic vascular complications, changes in the aging of the brain, and skin tumors.
