Unveiled & Unstoppable: Muslim Women in Science

This is a paper I wrote for my religion & science class. I use various articles, case studies and interviews to explore how the teachings of Islam encourage the participation of women in science. I illustrate the experiences of women in science in the West as well as in the East. I also suggest that much of Islam's negative stereotypes stem from unsupported biases as well as misinterpretations rather than traditional Islamic values.

Great paper!

Hi!
I absolutely love the topic you chose for your paper, and reading the summary made me want to read it. It's so true that misinterpretations of Islamic texts have led to the oppression of too many Muslim women. At the same time, it is rare that we see people outside the Muslim world writing about how Muslim women are also agents, not just passive recipients of culture and tradition. Your paper shows this. Great job!
