Women in Politics: "Taking the First Step"

This is a reflection paper I wrote for my women & politics course. It looks at the challenges for women hoping to enter politics & run for office. The research for my paper is based on various course readings, articles and real life conversations with women state representatives & women working at Emerge, MA, an organization aiming to help women hoping to enter politics and run for office. There is a particular focus on former Congresswomen Patricia Schroeder.
