Letters Received

Jambo Rafiki

I hope that all of the members of the The Rafiki Club are fine.

I am writing to give an update of Rafiki Club in Kenya. Yesterday 27th april 2009, I received a text message reporting that the rafiki Club in Lungalunga has received letters from Susan Lomartire written to rafiki Mwongeli, from Jade to her rafikis Dorcus and Judith Boaz, from danielle prince to Teresia mutuku and from laura Bolster to dorcus simion.

The women were happy for their letters and particularly grateful for the Pens and pencils that Laura sent to them through her Rafiki. Thank you Laura for supporting this cause.

YAY!

Hi Lin,

I am so happy to know that my letters to Dorcus and Judith safely made the long journey to Lungalunga. I cannot wait to hear back from these incredible women who are empowering themselves through literacy. I am so inspired! You mentioned that Laura sent pens and pencils to her Rafikis. Are there other supplies that are needed?

Thank you for creating this amazing and enriching program. It's so meaningful to both the women in rural Kenya and also to their counterparts. We have so much to learn from each other!

Warm regards,
Jade

Any Kind of Support is Welcome

dear Jade

Thank you for your comment. Yes your letters have been received. thank you for replying each one of them. As far as support is concerned, I think the greatest challange as at now is getting stamps for the women in Kenya as so many are participating and if i have to assist each one of them to get stamps may be it takés a little longer. That will affect the flow of communication as the letters move in a "stacato way" at times long waiting make people disinterested.

I therefore hope and pray that we can find means to support in paying postage amongst other supplies like pens, letter heads, meeting rooms etc.

If you can make a donation please feel welcoem to do so through our paypal account on www.projectforafrica.org. Otherwise other supplies can be sent directly to Project Africa offices in Lungalunga and kakamega in kenya

thank you for being a rafiki indeed

Have mine arrived yet?

I am always eager to check my PO BOX now and see if another letter arrived or not. I hope mine arrived alright! I am enjoying this program very much and will try to help with stamps next month since it is a worthy program!
