Why COTA loves WorldPulse

cotatm.jpg

I have been a fan of WorldPulse for several years....long before the idea of Coach of the Airwaves bubbled to the surface. It was only natural, then, that as soon as COTA had established itself and found an appropriate broadcasting platform, that we would seek to help the women members of WP by assisting them, at no charge, in setting up and then supporting their internet radio broadcasts.

Citizen broadcasting (or blogcasting as I sometimes prefer to call it) is a cutting edge tool for Global Change, although many who have jumped aboard initially are providing the equivalent of Wayne's World basement shows. Coach of the Airwaves wants to bring quality, integrity, and IMPORT to this landscape. What is more important than working arm in arm to transform this planet and to support the gifted and determined women around the world who have so much to share -- but often nowhere, or no one, to share with?

Though we cannot maintain our infrastructure by offering free membership to everyone, we do hope to help a number of WP member women, in developing areas of the planet, become citizen broadcasters, spreading their message and initiating discussion and solution-seeking among their listeners. We will support women who cannot otherwise afford membership to reach the world. Where and when possible, we will try to provide the headset/mics necessary to broadcast, but probably in short supply in many net cafes in the developing world.

We are more than happy to enjoin any discussions or answer any questions which have to do with how citizen broadcasting and COTA can best serve women in developing countries. We are here to share and to learn. Please join with us in making citizen broadcasting a reality for anyone out there who sees its benefits for Global Change.
