Also do kindly remember to post your rafiki comments and contributions on our journal and anything that would be relevant to our literacy program, crosscultural friendships and the use of both traditional and new media to the promotion of gender equality, equity nad empowerment of women and girls.

Received my first letter

Hi everyone,

I'm very happy to announce that I have received the first letter from my Rafiki, Cecilia Mumbe, yesterday!

I'm eager to post my reply tomorrow, and start developing what I hope to become a true and beautiful friendship.

My daughter Carolina, who is 8, was as excited as I was. Maybe MamaAfrica can find a Rafiki in her age group with whom Carol can correspond? That would be wonderful, and a real eye opener for different cultures, and ways of living!

Thank you!!!

Liz

Great!!!

Carolina is going to be excited about the prospect of getting a new friend in Kenya.

I also made a donation on Project for Africa site do help a bit with the writing supplies.

Thank you for all your efforts. It's amazing what people can achieve when they have the will, and join efforts. I think, especially we women have that ability, to build bridges!
