VOF Week 4: (Awakening the feminine soul)

Tags:

It may sound like a cliché but I do believe that this world would be a better place if more women were in charge. I believe there would be less war and conflict, less greed, disparities and hierarchies of power. In my vision of a perfect – and more feminine- world, we would be more in touch with nature and each other, interaction would be based on mutual understanding instead of competition, resources would be distributed equally, and we would respect and celebrate our diversity.
Sadly, Mother Earth has been robbed her feminine soul, the nurturing, caring, emotional, intuitive and interactive side. -And no, I'm not a man-hater, of course we need both the masculine and the feminine, but this world has too long been dominated by one side only.
In difference to most Western feminists, I don't think that this imbalance can be remedied by giving women the same rights and opportunities. Equal rights are a prerequisite and an important tool to empowerment, but simply giving women access to an essentially male system of politics, economics and academics is not enough. We need to get recognition for feminine ways of thinking, acting and being.

Of course I don't have delusions of reaching the above vision alone, but through interaction, exchange and understanding we can get closer to the ideal. On the community level that means to connect with women from all walks of life- young, old, rich, poor, handicapped, refugees, minorities- with special attention to those outside the realm of what is usually represented. My vision is to help marginalised and underprivileged groups to have their valuable voices included in the symphony of feminine wisdom.

I feel that World Pulse is a platform that shares my vision, and being a correspondent for World Pulse would help me to contribute in a meaningful way to celebrate the feminine side of nature. As a correspondent, I could not only share my personal views and perspectives, but help vulnerable groups to lift up their issues, provide them with knowledge and connect them to the interactive community for new ideas and insights. I would be happy if I could contribute with my experiences in community empowerment, and even more excited to learn new skills and tactics.

I used to be more of a high-achiever, and with that probably better adapted for this goal-orientated world, until an event in my life that made my whole world crash down (quite literally) - and forced me to give up on studies, work, social life, and much more. In hindsight, this experience has helped me to slow down, listen inside, and shift my focus on the process instead of achievements. My personal hope for the future is not only unfold my creativity that I reconnected with during the hard times, but also help others to see the silver lining in a dark cloud.

Uplifting the feminine in a man's world demands creativity and ingenuity, and I always found it helpful to integrate creative arts, music and poetry to empower vulnerable groups, and to express things beyond language and words. Being a correspondent would be a possibility to use my creativity to contribute to the mosaic of perspectives, opinions, attitudes and live stories to awaken the feminine soul.

I like this point

Men need to see a different way of doing the same thing. This way should not be dismissed but given an ear am sure they can learn a thing or too to help them do what they need to do.But expecting a man to do things the womans way is a joke just like women cant do things the men way its asking either one to change their natural way of being.Either the woman is there to do her thing her way or there to give a new perspective that may help.

love your vision

I really like how you have outlined your vision for the world. Have you had a chance to see this in action already? If so, that would have been great to see.
