THE IMPACT OF CLIMATE CHANGE.

Climate change impacts negatively on the populations of the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) and Central Africa, with regards to health. Changes in temperature, hot and cold, bother the community.
On the one hand, people feel relieved during the rainy season, with the presence of abundant water. Likewise, illnesses provoked by dirty hands reduce. Notwithstanding, the rains come with some inconveniences, such as mud; and accidents, caused by the poor state of the roads.
On the other hand, during the dry season, there is plenty of dust and scarcity of tap water. People are obliged to go some kilometres away to buy water which is not always sufficient for family use. On their way, often, they are victims of accidents.
Data on sick people contaminated by dirt during the dry season, reads an increase for infants aged from 0 - 59 months, as compared to results made known in the rainy season.
For this reason, the following can be taken into consideration:
- Water the roads at least twice every week
- Draw water from the rivers around the neighborhoods, to provide water for the ever-increasing population in the cities
- Take stringent measures for hygiene and sanitation.
