Introducing myself and my journal

About Me:
I am a young writer, editor, and feminist who is interested in the confluence of the written word and social justice. Before I considered myself a writer, I was an avid reader—I devoured every book I got a hold of, endlessly seeking more stories to consume. I have always enjoyed the written word because I am passionate about understanding the perspectives of others. These perspectives are invaluable because they supplement my understanding of the world.

The first step in creating meaningful change in the world is gaining an understanding of the experience of others.

My Passions:
Empowerment, education, literature, and art.

My Vision for the Future:
A world where women's voices are heard.

Hello! I want to welcome you to World Pulse and thank you for sharing your perspective with us. I love what you wrote about the importance of trying to understand others' perspectives through reading their stories and learning as much as you can about their experience. If we all did that, it's hard to see how we couldn't help but cultivate empathy and end the "need" for war.

I do think you'll love being a part of this lovely community of women from all over the world (190 countries!) and will relish reading their stories and sharing your own. Here's a link to the useful "Getting Started" guide:

Again, welcome! (Miranda?) It's great to have another fellow feminist among us! :)

Thank you!

I appreciate the warm welcome, Susan. I look forward to reading the multitude of stories that this community has to offer.

Your quote from Hafiz is lovely, by the way.

Welcome to World Pulse,

Welcome to World Pulse, Miranda.
I am an old writer, editor, and publisher. I believe that continuation of sacred scripture is ours to write.

Your visions are one step closer to achievement when you network in such a strong group of empowered people. You are only one person, but you are smart enough to know that our power is exponential when combined with other powerful people.

You are now a part of a thriving grassroots network of women leaders and supporters from more than 190 countries. See the Getting Started Guide to learn more about networking in our community:

I look forward to hearing more of your voice in WorldPulse.

Continue to be a blessing.
