How the internet Empowered me to start a Business

About Me:
I'm in my late 20s.I started learning how to make jewelry and paper beads on YouTube, while working as a data officer in an organization. I made a few pieces as gifts for family and friends.Later I made a lot which I kept in a box.One day my brother took the box to my neighbors and they bought everything and demanded for more. I said to myself that before starting a business ,I will create a YouTube channel to empower other people too. Today my Youtube channel called Moshelbeads which is also my company name has over 36,000 views and still growing. Many people especially women send me messages that they have also been empower because of my videos.Currently I've trained 2 women who help me ,it is my hope that this project can be extended to deprived communities in Ghana to reduce poverty.
My Passions:
recycling, empowering women and children

My Challenges:
inadequate funds to employ more women

My Vision for the Future:
To empower many people through the internet and in deprived communities

My Areas of Expertise:
Jewelry design, public relations, social enterprise

Congrats on your business. This is a great story and very empowering. Do you think that you could make and sell the beads as part of a charity and donate some earnings to charity?

Kind Regards,

Dear Moshelbeads,
Thank you so much for your post and empowerment to women, you know i have never seen a paper bead until this morning when a friend of mine from Uruguay gave me one as a gift, i wondered how she made it and she said from newspapers, they were so beautiful, so i am happy i saw how they look before reading your post, otherwise i won´t understand how they are. They are really good and i am wearing one right now. i really encourage you to continue to do this. Weldone!!!

Brilliant beads!

Dear Rebecca,

I love the simplicity of your idea and the dynamism you have brought to turning your idea into a reality - and you've used the tools of the net (YouTube, Facebook) brilliantly. It's great to know that you have generated work for two other women and I hope your success means that this will eventually mean more women can participate.

Well done and best wishes,

Fiona McKenzie
