Shocking Nigerian News!!

http://www.bbc.com/news/world-africa-27216931

Greetings everyone!! One of my friends brought this to my attention. I am at a loss of words for the women and daughters in Nigeria. Knowing that our daughters can't enjoy being safe grieves the very depths of my heart. What can be done to help secure these young ladies. Their education should never be forfeited. I need someone to please help me understand????

Jennifer-
I am aware of this horrifying situation, and am sickened to my core. I am not sure what is being done at this moment, but will follow up with it. You may want to contact Greengirl http://worldpulse.com/user/217 or Busayo http://worldpulse.com/user/1463, both in Nigeria, who may have more current information or ways to get involved.

Thank you for bringing this story to our attention.

We wait in hope together.

Amen

Creator of humanity, hear the pleas of our hearts as we come, joining hearts believing you for peace, love, security and freedom. God give us the wisdom to do what you have created us to do. Help us to endure the obstacles that we face, and to overcome them. Lord, protect our children, our family, friends, and loved ones. God we ask that you would send the right people our way that can assist us along this journey called life.

Amen

Amen!

Thank you so much Jennifer for your heartfelt prayers for my country and the world. Current happenings in the country leaves much to be desired and we covet all the prayers that will bring a definite turn around for good. The situation, particularly in the Northern part of the country is worrisome, as lives are being lost to conflicts and insurgencies on a daily basis. As is always the case in situations of unrest, women and girls are the most vulnerable.

I join you in crying out to God for His divine intervention.

In faith,
Greengirl

Looks like the world is coming together to get the girls back. I have found articles on CNN, aljezeera, Washington post and more. #bringbackourgis

Yes the world is listening. Please excuse my ignorance... My friends and I would like to know who do we write to in the American Government to make them move to assist our sisters in Nigeria.....

I've been tweeting Obama @BarackObama, the press secretary @PressSec, and various other influential people. You can also look up your local congress person and call them to voice your concern. http://house.gov/representatives/
