Introducing myself and my journal

About Me:
I am a UK based freelance journalist with an addiction to news and current affairs. I was so fed with the bias against women in the news that I have set up a not-for-profit online women's news service (www,womensviewsonnews.org) running stories either about women, or told from their perspective. At the moment the site operates as a blog with a series of rolling news (as opposed to features) stories, but ultimately I intend to set up a conventional news website once I have built the basic brand.

It is well documented that women’s empowerment has the most far-reaching effect in improving the lives of all – men, women and children. If we give women the tools to speak and be heard, they will tell their stories. They will start movements and reform laws.
