The daily digital and news connections

I love the fact that so many people connect with worldpulse and give feedback and comments on stories and information that is shared. I have a lot more to learn aobut presenting information digitally but every day I become more comfortable with this type of writing and sharing.
I recently applied for a business license to start my own news paper. I find out in 2 weeks if this goes through or not. It will be a non profit news paper and the titles will be " WITHOUT PREJUDICE NEWS'
I FEEL THAT THE WORLPULSE SITE AND THE DIGITAL CONNECTIONS HAVE HELPED ME GET THIS OTHER IDEA GOING.
My confidences is building and the feedback I get from worldpulse is what keeps me going and helps with my ideas.
I try routinely to let others know about worldpulse and how to get started and digital sites. I have met a lot of people in my travels and most seem keen of finding a place to share their stories, while others just like reading them. I am 64 and started to email in 2008 and got my first cell phone the same year. I relaize that change is constant and I will have more to learn in the future. I am learning so much I feel like I am in school every day.

Thanks to digital sites and worldpulse

Thank you!!

Hi Diane,
I am so glad you wrote about the importance of having a community that inspires you personally. confidence is everything. The "Wall Paper" on my computer is an image of a woman standing, facing the mountain and sky at dusk with arms spread wide. The caption underneath the picture says; "Self Confidence is the prerequisite to great undertakings" Willie Davis. I picked the word confidence as my word for the year.

Your open hear and mind for learning will take you far. Thank you for being a member of the world Pulse Community and spreading the word. Keep writing!! I believe you have much more to say.

Warm Regards,

Karen

Hello
thank you for your kind words. At times I am overwhelmed with the kindness of others , then I am also overwhelmed with how cruel some people are, the news and the world are filled with that as well. We are all a part of the world community and I feel it is important to remember that. I wish I could do so much more.
Varitas aquitas means truth and justice.
I do have my down days when the work is steady and piled up and funds are none existent, that is a stressful for me

At times I can feel alienated with what i am involved in but then I check in with world pulse and find a community that is there and feel restored somehow and more confidant .
I hope that all the problems will soon pass and I can breathe easy again, it has been a rough few weeks.
a woman friend passed away last week and then my sons grandmother.

all the best to everyone.

Never stop learning

Dear Diane:

Your story is inspiring. Thanks for sharing with us. You show why it is important that we never stop learning. Life is always teaching us through so many avenues and so many people. Our task as sojourns is to key into these lessons and make good use of the knowledge that we acquire.

Good on you, Diane.

You are an inspiration

Hi Diane.

While reading your journal entry I immediately thought of how you embody the role of the ongoing learner. It's so inspiring to know that while you are fairly new to technology and the web, you are already using what you have learned from World Pulse and other sites to start your own newspaper to share news and ideas that matter with your community. Thank you for being a role model for younger (and all) women on the importance of always being open to learning. Please keep us updated on your progress and best of luck to you!

life long student

Thank You I am a life long student and learner. I hope that there will be a breakthrough in all I am dealing with.

I have been thinking of trying to find an orphanage in an area that needs help and then move there and work the rest of my days helping orphans of war and violence by next year.
