Sorry to Hear

Hi Phasy,

I am sorry to hear that you are having problems accessing the links. Sometimes, YouTube links that work in Canada don't in other countries :(

My suggestion is to locate the music on your own. Here is the same list, but with the actual song titles:

Arcade Fire: Rebellion Lies

Stars: Your Ex-Lover is Dead

Barenaked Ladies: Easy

Nelly Furtado: Forca

Sarah Harmer: Basement Apartment

Tegan and Sarah: Back in Your Head

The New Pornographers: Your Daddy Don't Know

Feist: 1,2,3,4

Esthero: That Girl

Chantal Kreviazuk: Time

I hope you are able to find all or, at the very least, some of these songs! Please feel free to share your music, as well :)

- Jackie

Great Idea!

You are right, music brings out life, joy and happiness in ones being. It trancends boundries; for one could enjoy any rhythm without even understanding the meaning of the lyrics.

In Cameroon we have many ethic groups and some are prominent in the mainstream music world, the most popular are- Makossa/Ambassibay in Littoral province, Bendsikin from Western province, Bottle Dance music in the North west, Bikutssi in Central province, i love the latter because the musicians have not adulterated their music with other rhythms known as Zaire rhythm - Zaiko langa langa or Ivorian rhythm - 'coupe decale' , 'ndombolo' like the makossa musicians have done. It is now rare to hear pure makossa music.

Well hope to find time to share some Cameroonian music.
Thanks for inviting me to join this group, i will also love for you to join The Social Dialogue Group.

Cheers
