Violence Causes Family Loss At All Levels

1. Objectives: Emphasize the idea in which all women like men have the right to be protected against all forms of violence. Keep local leaders up to date on the different forms of violence against women. Give necessary competences to leaders to stop violence against women in their homes and communities.
2. Osodi as basic information
Define violence based on its genre that results or can result in physical, sexual, psychological destruction, threats, constraints, and lack of liberty.
Osodi patients have focused to eliminate violence done to women with the aim of promoting healthier families and stronger communities. (A strong family, a strong country, a strong church, a strong nation, a weak family, a weak country, and a weak community).
3. Violence has an impact on the economy when women are abused in their families and country, they are sick and this affects their capacity to work.
The same goes for children, there is negative impact on the lives of children who witness the violence in their homes, the children remain orphans abandoned in Izege, Walungu Kaniola, Nindja, Kabare, with the enemies of peace. Several women become sick, abandoned by their husbands after having experienced sexual violence or other forms of violence (domestic partner violence or honor killings).
Women submitted to violence run a very big risk of contracting HIV-AIDS and many are depressed and traumatized by this experience. The fear of being raped by the enemies impede women from rural environments to develop themselves due to child forced marriage. 44% of women who are 20-24 years old have been married at the age of 15, many girls marry men that are double their age, after some time, they are abandoned by their husbands due to their inabilities. The widows are also abandoned after the death of their husbands.
4. Kidnapping: in a particular manner in situations that are post- conflicts, kidnapping is a persistent threat. Women who are kidnapped are often sexually abused, forced to get married, or killed. This affects women and girls, but also the wellbeing of children, families, and the security of whole communities.
5. Suggestion from osodi: Present the statistics and local data on the subject of violence done to women, give concrete examples on how violence is done to women, discuss how men and women are treated differently and ask each man to think how it might feel to be a woman in her family and community.

STOP THE VIRUS OF VIOLENCE THAT IS ATTRIBUTING OUR GIRLS AND OUR WOMEN a bad reputation making believe that all women are violated. So, who marries a woman, rapes a girl, the funds solicited for the cause of female victims of violence should benefit the just individuals, many funds are limited due to the fabricated names of women collaborations of Congo, and the basis of the reality remains critical, we recommend donors to support the associations on the basis, on ground, another reality other than the relations with networking platforms, etc.
