Women and technology

Women can be a helping hand to man as extra power for the development of the country.

A. "Informatique" : this work comes from the amalgamation of the word "information" and "automatic"

Where: Information technology is the science of organizing information so that it can be automatically and rapidly utilized by the programs downloaded to computers.

B. Computer: It is an electronic machine which let's treatment of information, with the help of pre-written programs. A micro-computer is an electronic device which processes big quantities of data. We often compare computers to human brains, but a micro-computer cannot think like the human brain. It only does whatever we demand of it, not more not less.

C. Computer Virus: This is a program that attacks computers, to modify or destroy the data that exist in it. Just like a biological virus, it can contaminate other computers also.

D. Internet: It is a network between all the computers in the world, which lets them exchange information.

A woman who knows how to use a computer is more valuable than a woman who neglect learning how to use a computer. Today, with our ability to use computers, we are able to communicate with other women around the world, put our ideas "online", we can share our experiences with other women around the globe. Our ability to use technology to our benefit makes us different, we work without human intervention.

In fact, the training we receive is not often available at schools in DRC, just at private schools. To access computer, one needs to learn in centers where they have computers. There aren't many who are able to learn how to use a computer because it is very costly to do so.

Some suggestions:

-We need to make people more aware of computer technology, this information changes every day,

-Make computers available for people to learn how to use them

-Reassuring the participants

L'informatique

Bon courage!

I just read an article

I just read an article talking about the development of computers that learn. It's been in the works for awhile, but they are just now beginning to see some success. I wonder how this might change our conception of computers. And it brings up the issue of what we would want them to learn! Let's not teach them unjust thought patterns, no? It might be a fun thought experiment to imagine what we'd want computers to learn. Thank you so much for your thought-provoking words.

Wishing you wonderful things,

Kelly

A micro-computer is an electronic device which deals with large amounts of information. It is often compared to the human brain, but a micro-computer does not think so. It does exactly what it is being asked, neither more nor less.

C. Computer virus: it is a program that attacks computers, modifies or destroys data. It behaves as a biological virus, that is to say that it then infects other computers, sometimes leading to an actual epidemic.

D. Internet: is a computer network which connects computers over the world among themselves and allows them to exchange information.

A woman who knows the technology is more valuable and distinguishes from women who neglect learning the computer. Currently, we communicate with other women without moving and we join the ideas "ON LINE”, we share our experiences with other women across the world. With the technology that is the difference, we do the work without human intervention.

Actually, our education in the DRC does not make available a section of computers at school, only in private schools. To gain access, it is necessary to specialize in centers where computers are available; that is to say, the computer is a receipt for access, the costs are expensive for learning so that fewer people are able to learn computer because it is very expensive. Get you involved in the long-standing change to our community.

With regard to the solution:

- Raise awareness on computer technology, information technology changes from day to day

- Provide equipment for computer learning process

- Reassuring the participants
