Introducing myself and my journal: TheJudyannet

About Me:
I am an African crusader and change maker who champions community development projects implemented through new media, I strongly believe that Africa is an equal participant in global affairs in all spheres and should be treated as such. I am a community activist who takes the concept of development and localizes it in my local community in the areas of education, vulnerable and marginalized children and the youth. I also use the new media to link community based groups and young people involved in community work with information and opportunities.

My Passions:
Community development, creative and analytical writing, blogging, photography for social change.

My Challenges:
I dislike social injustices especially towards women and girls and as such I am always overwhelmed by projects and initiatives towards a just society.

My Vision for the Future:
I see a future where all people irrespective of region, status, colour or class are treated equally in society in terms of access to basic social amenities.

My Areas of Expertise:
Editing, creative and critical writing, social media management, content development.

Thank you.

Susan, Yvette and Fatima,

Thank you for your kind words. I feel not only welcome but also very empowered to be among fellow women change makers. Being so passionate about the place of the girl child and the place of women in society I am inspired to be among people who are equally passionate about women empowerment. I hope too learn as much as I can from you all and from the women whose work I will be listening to.

Power to you all.
