Introducing myself and my journal: The Gifts of Listening

About Me:
Originally from the San Francisco Bay Area, I moved to Portland in 2003 and it has fast become my hometown. I have thrived here spiritually due to the amazing friends I have met, and the access to the beauty of the natural world around me. I am a cook by trade, but my passion is in writing the stories of others. I have recently returned from a one year sabbatical where I walked across the United States as well as Spain and parts of Portugal. That journey, though completed nearly four months ago, still hasn't fully seeped into my bones from all the experience it brought me. I am dearly looking forward to hearing the voices of all these remarkable women, and I feel honored to be here.

My Passions:
Writing, walking, learning

My Challenges:
Continued Spiritual Growth

My Vision for the Future:
Community based

My Areas of Expertise:
I write well, can listen and have some travel history

Welcome Nikki

I used to live in Palo Alto and have just moved to Portland by way of New York, and am so enjoying exploring my new home town. I am excited that you have found us and know that you will find this to be a positive experience. How did you hear about us?

Take a moment to post a photo of yourself or an image that best represents you, and then browse through our Group Directory (http://www.worldpulse.com/pulsewire/groups) where you may find a group with similar interests to your own. Or, you may consider starting your own group where you can build a powerful network bringing together PulseWire members with similar visions who want to share ideas or actions. You might even want to join our Spanish, English, Portuguese, French group where you can practise the language skills you picked up on your travels. It can be found at:
http://www.worldpulsemagazine.com/pulsewire/groups/8006

PulseWire is all about connections and to get started, you might like to read other member's journals and comment on them, or post to your own journal with your thoughts, insights, hopes, dreams and concerns. Again, welcome and I know that you will find PulseWire to be engaging, inspiring and thought-provoking.
