I WOULD LIKE TO BE A PULSEWIRE CORRESPONDENT.

I would really like to be a correspondent of Pulsewire,i have ever dreamed
of that since i joined Pulsewire.
I'm now very excited anxiously waiting for the results.I hope i'll be one of
the best in the whole world.
I am planning to put up a school for the orphans and the needy. So that they
can also have bright futures.I am still searching for sponsors who can help in
building the school.
I plan to help orphans and the needful children as there are very few
orphanages in Kenya.
Orphans also have bright feature and most,i like travelling and therefore
will travel all over the country exploring what is out there,so that a person
can be experienced.
School is very important nowadays, girls need to get education as there is no
they will survive.
Girls who are not able to have support do not get education which leads to
anti social behaviours like prostitution, theft, crimes, drug abuse and drug
traffic.
All this need to be stopped but there must be some people somewhere to stop
it.And i'll try my best to work hard and see a change in us,all over the
world.I wish to be a correspondent of Pulsewire and work hard to achieve my
goals. My main goal is to represent girls who are not privileged, and to share
their stories with the whole world.I would also like to connect them on
Pulsewire internationally so that they can feel confident in their lives.
Girls in my Community are abused so much by teachers and other adults in the
society, and we want to stop it!

Thank you.

Yours sincerely,

Leila Ludie Okeyo.

And we would love it too!

Beautiful Leila,
Already at your young age, you are speaking out for those who are silent or cannot speak for themselves. Do you realize how powerful that is and the fact that you are doing this at only 13 just astounds me. I can see already that many, many lives will be touched by your compassion, dedication, sense of justice and love for humanity. Your family are such gifts to this world and all of our lives are better for having you in them. I feel truly blessed to have been introduced to your family (albeit online) and derive such joy from your mother's posts, emails and chats. Keep us posted on what is happening around you, at school, with your friends and in your community. Without realizing it, you are already an unofficial correspondent for PulseWire and maybe in a few years, once you have finished school, we can make it official.

By the way, you might like to connect with Sister Angela, a member who recently joined PulseWire and who runs a
global non-profit organization created to uplift and aid in the self-development of women and girls of African descent. Maybe through her, you can connect with other young girls of your age around the world. What fun it would be to exchange stories with other 13-year olds in many different countries. I am sure you would find that you had much in common. Maybe you can even start your own group of teenagers concerned about the world. You can find Sister Angela at:

All the very best to you, Leila. You are truly a light in our lives.
