Introducing myself and my journal: WritersDojo.org

About Me:
WritersDojo.org publishes fiction, nonfiction, poetry, and art, along with a growing collection of blogs, podcasts, interviews, and other media. Daniel Bergner posted an excerpt of his just-published nonfiction book on our site and held his only Portland reading at our physical space. Diana Abu-Jaber published a selection from her in-progress young adult novel and participated in a podcast interview. And an amazing group of poets, from Kim Stafford to Willa Schneberg to Carlos Reyes, have shared both new and revived poems in our online journal. These are just a few of our contributors--we are thrilled and honored to play a role in the publishing lives of many others, those both emerging and already well-published, those we call our neighbors because they live around the corner and those we call our neighbors because we are connected in online communities.

Our bricks-and-mortar space in Portland, Oregon, United States, is a shared, creative office and center of excellence for serious writers. We offer daily and monthly memberships. Members have diverse backgrounds, styles, and deadlines. But we share resources and common goals to be madly prolific, healthy, and active members of a creative, professional community. We also host writers' groups, literary workshops, events, readings...pretty much whatever the community needs that we think is cool and that helps advance the conversation of literary arts and professionalism.

Welcome to PulseWire!

Writersdojo is going to have so much to add to PulseWire. As I was checking out your website, I continued to marvel at the dynamic creativity that's flowing through Portland. Living in Portland has been like watching this sort of plain, quiet child grow into a lively, vibrant, quirky adult with passions bursting from their heart. Here's a group that I think Writersdojo would enjoy...poetry and other writings...very active group. http://www.worldpulse.com/pulsewire/groups/1317
Resource Exchange could be another helpful aspect of PulseWire. This is a place to find folks who might need what you have and vice versa. At some point, you might need volunteers or maybe have extra supplies.

Again, welcome to this vibrant online community where I am sure you'll find many new connections and ways to share your writing.

Warm wishes,

Laura

Laura,

Thanks so much for commenting. It's great to read feedback so soon after WritersDojo.org joined--and to meet another member of the World Pulse community! Your Red Aphrodite work looks great--right up my alley, in terms of style, and I think that I've seen your cards around Portland.

WritersDojo.org just joined the PulseWire group you recommended. Thanks for the tip.

Best wishes,
Kristin
