LE LEADERSHIP FEMININ UN DEFI A RELEVER

Bonjour

Hello
On 6th December 2013, we held a dissemination workshop on women leadership for more than 20 women from different organizations in the city of Bukavu. After discussions, we found out that women need to banish fear, underestimation and they need to know what their rights are.

We found out as well that illiteracy, lack of resources, discrimination and stigmatization, traditional customs imposed on them represent real barriers for women's participation in the management of public affairs.

This is not easy as women needs to make a lot of effort to face competition. They also need to develop the culture of meritocracy and excellence in order to deserve their position among men and this is especially valid for those women who are already employed.

We realized as well that each woman has a gift to be a leader, gift given by god and she needs to take advantage of that leadership gift in order to have an impact on the society and to have prominent position within that society. By doing so she will contribute in the development of that same society.

Therefore women’s education and empowerment are crucial if they want to fully and effectively play their role as leaders beside their partner and they also need to give the best of themselves for the development of the society.
