A DREAM COME TRUE: Thank you Nakinti
This to me is a dream come true. Since I was a child I have always long to become a journalist but with the passage of time this dream was almost futile. On this faithful day Nakinti selected me as one of those she will be training for world pulse the next day, I was reluctant at first but when I learn it was part of journalism I cried out “can dead dreams live again, this is a dream come true”. The night before was longer than normal; I could not wait to have my first journalism training. Finally the day of the training came, I got myself ready and rushed to the training ground.
I was embraced by perfect silence and a large placard on the wall with the inscription “VOF-One Man Teach Five”. I was overwhelmed learning about another giant woman Jensine Larsen whom at the age of 28 was able to add another crack on the glass ceiling separating men from women in what she named world pulse. This forum “world pulse” has been the cure to so many deep wounds of the heart to over 60.000women. Thanks to Larsen because I have just learned world pulse is a sisterhood. The trainer made my day, making me to understand I have been a journalist for close to a decade without knowing, this she calls citizen journalism.
Thanks to world pulse for making me take the first step up the ladder of journalism. The trainer took us to yet another known as frontline journals. Thanks Nakinti for being such a wonderful teacher and thank u world pulse for making me sail through a new dawn. Sincerely is a dream come true.
