First entry after three years...

This my first journal entry, even though I have been a listener for a while now here at World Pulse. I have enjoyed reading many of the stories here but I want to also share my story. I am typically timid and shy, I was bullied in school for being overweight and I wondered for many years how I could actually fit into this world. I have battled depression, suicide attempts, cutting and bruising my arms, trying to find out how I can find the true meaning of my life. But that person that I had trapped in my body was able to realize the value of life and humanity altogether. I have survived an internal war and I can now finally live free, like a butterfly. My life and expectations have changed and with that I have taken on a new mission, to connect with people from all over the world that have the drive and desire to help others.

You are one in a million!

My dear ccontreras,
You sure went through a lot as a young girl!
I am glad you finally found value in your person.
Bullying in school is one damn thing that causes a lot of damage...how I wish something can be done to stop it.
As you connect with the world, I am happy to be within that connection.
I wish you the best[est]!!!
Sending you hot love from Cameroon, Central African (typically called "Africa in Miniature")
Nakinti

Yes, Cynthia! You are a survivor, a champion, and you are rising. I think that your story is important for others to see, so thank you for sharing.

Together we are making the world a better place, one by one, minute by minute. For me, it's an incredible opportunity and honor to be here as a witness and facilitator. So glad you're here, and wonderful to see you share.

I am you!

Dear Cynthia,

I can relate to both your story of being oppressed and your story of revival!
I believe that contributions like your to our world are so important, because you will help take us to the next level of loving, caring and fighting this oppressive society that prevents us from accepting ourselves.
Just like you I was often bullied because of my weight and just like you I coped like I could.
Today I am aware that there is a fat acceptance movement in this country and a place for me to engage about why I am perfect the way I am and why you are perfect the way you are.
If you are interested, you can read more here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fat_acceptance_movement

With Love, Respect and Admiration for you,

Delphine Criscenzo
